Lead Brewer

The Lead Brewer will report to and work alongside our Co-Founder/ Brewer to manage everyday operations. This position allows for a creative individual to come and work on recipe development and help formulate best practices for new techniques. As a Lead Brewer, this individual will need to be a self-starter, knowing what needs to be done in a safe and sanitary manner. Quality must always be preserved and in the forefront of every decision.

In addition to brewing and packaging beer, we are also contract brewing and packaging cold-brew coffee. Our Lead Brewer will also be responsible for the production of our cold brew line. Experience with cold brew is not necessary.

Duties included within the position include:

-Wort production
-Cellar Operations including CIP, COP, Dry Hopping, Fining, Transfers, Carbonating
-Keg Washing/ Filling
-Packaging (ideally with canning line experience)
-Assisting with events (including tastings, festivals, etc.)
-Assisting with inventory management

Requirements for the position (typical for a brewery) include:

-Working experience within a commercial brewery (Mandatory)
-Roll with the punches of the day and still have fun (No Drama)
-Ability to repeatedly lift 55lbs up to shoulder height
-Ability to stand and walk for hours on a hard surface
-Ability to kneel or bend to make connections 1 foot off the floor.
-Ability to work within a cold (55F) and hot (95F) environment
-Ability to work extended hours including weekends

Ideal qualifications for the position:

-Formal brewing education
-College degree
-Previous management experience
-Outgoing personality
